WEEKLY NEWS | Air Canada's NEW Loyalty Program

Air Canada is building a new loyalty program, where they are partnering with American Express to launch in 2020. The loyalty program will have agreements with credit card companies that are backed up by TD, CIBC and Visa Canada for future participation. This 10-year program will allow people with existing loyalties with American Express and Aeroplan to keep their points and transfer it over to this new program, at no disadvantage essentially becoming members of this new program. President & CEO of Air Canada says, “We’re excited to renew Air Canada’s long-standing relationship with American Express and reaffirm our position as its exclusive Canadian co-brand airline partner.” Calin Rovinescu goes on to say, “Amex is a global leader in premium payments, and this agreement will support the creation of new, world-class products for Air Canada’s industry-leading loyalty program launching in 2020.”
