TRAVEL NEWS | Is it wrong to recline your seat on the plane?

This has made the headline news and has put Social Media in a frenzy. Is reclining your seat bad flight etiquette?

Wendi Williams decided to tweet her experience on an American Airlines flight from New Orleans to Charlotte, with a video filming the behaviour of the passenger who was angered at her reclined seat. She also mentioned how horrible the flight attendant behaved when it was revealed that she was filming the passenger.and even offered the angry passenger a drink. According to Ms. Williams, she had reclined her seat while the passenger was eating, and when he asked her not to, she obliged until he was done eating, than reclined again and that’s when he got angry and began pummeling the back of her seat.

Ms. Williams, said she suffered injuries from the incident, including extensive neck surgeries and headaches

Now, Delta CEO has chimmed in on the debate and has said in a sit down with CNBC’s Squawk Box Bastian, “I think customers have the right to recline. We’ve been testing “Reduce Recline [seats]” and seeing responses on that. But I think the proper thing to do is if you’re going to recline into somebody, that you ask if it’s okay first and then you do it.”

We’d love to know your thoughts.
Should you ask to recline your seat?
