It was summer 2013. A family friend moved to my city from out of town and we instantly became very close.  We hung out a lot together that summer, to the point where we became engrossed in each other’s social lives and our friends collided into one. So it only made sense that when her birthday came around that we decided to do a road trip to New York City (NYC).
