People usually assume I started Ellusive & Co. because I love to travel. That's not quite right.
I started it because I fell in love with what planning could actually do to a trip.
That became something for me after my trip to Costa Rica. I spent a ridiculous amount of time researching and mapping everything out before I left. When I arrived, I wasn't scrambling or second-guessing anything. Everything worked. I came home thinking about the experience I had created for myself, probably more than anything else from the trip itself.
The best trips don't happen by chance. They're designed with intention.
Friends & family started asking me to help plan their vacations and surprisingly I really enjoyed it. Not just talking about destinations, but the whole process of figuring out what someone actually wanted from a trip, what they needed from it, & the more I planned for others is the more I became intrigued with how to build something around who they were.
In 2018, I founded Ellusive & Co. on a belief that a trip worth taking deserves planning worth doing. So whether someone is celebrating something big, finally taking that vacation they've been putting off, or bringing their team somewhere meaningful, I think the reason behind the trip deserves just as much attention as the destination.
That's still the heart of it.
Itineraries starts with a real conversation. Every recommendation has a reason. And every trip is built to give our clients something that lasts past the return flight.

Travel started as something I could only see in photographs. Growing up in Nairobi, I was drawn to images of places I'd never been. Every destination raised the same questions. Where is that? What's it actually like? How do I get there?
My family didn't have many opportunities to travel, but I never stopped thinking about it. School opened the first door & living in Germany for several years opened more. I explored neighbouring countries whenever I could, and built one tradition I've kept ever since: the Christmas markets. My partner and I make the trip every couple of years.
More than ten countries in, I'll say the best things I've found weren't in any guidebook such as a family restaurant I wandered into and the dish I'd never heard of before I ordered it. I do think solo travel is one of the most useful things a person can do. It teaches you things about yourself that a group trip with friends just can't.
I come to Ellusive & Co. with a finance background, which shows in how I work. I like the details, the follow-through, the making-sure-nothing-slips-through-the-cracks part of this job. As Administrative Coordinator, I keep everything running behind the scenes so clients feel informed and looked after from the first conversation to the last.
When I'm not working, I'm either with my dog Fefe, or thinking about where I'm heading next. I haven't settled on a permanent home base yet, and truthfully, I'm in no rush.
